I love when my mother-in-law visits us.
Today, we dropped my mother-in-law off at the airport after she stayed with us for a few months. Most people would think: oh no, mother-in-law for a few months! Ack!
Fortunately, she is nothing like a stereotypical mother-in-law. She is kind, sweet, thoughtful and loving. She really takes care of us even though we are the ones who should really be taking care of her.
I will miss her and look forward to the day when she comes again!
I love when my mother-in-law visits us!
I love to learn about history to learn from the past.
We (my wife, mother-in-law, three daughters and I) happened to visit The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida today after seeing what was near a park we were visiting.
The Holocaust itself was an extremely tragic and horrific event. There were video interviews of some survivors that live in Central Florida and it was very sad to hear the conditions that they had to endure.
It is incredible to think that human beings were capable of committing such atrocities.
That is why it is all the more heartening to see some of the survivors share their stories. From one perspective, the Holocaust can be seen as the most extreme form of bullying. While we cannot change the past, we do have the opportunity to mold the future.
As one of the logos (pictured below) from the museum’s website suggests, we should learn from the past to protect the future.
I believe something that we can do specifically that learning about the Holocaust teaches us is to:
I wonder how far Hitler may have gotten if someone would have called him out before he got into power.
I love to learn about history to learn from the past!
I love when strangers come together to build something for an unprivileged family.
Today, we volunteered at Habitat for Humanity for the first time. It was an awesome experience to see mostly complete strangers coming together to work on the yard of this house destined for a single mom with two kids.
We cleared the lawn of debris and lay new sod. It was our first time doing it and we did a pretty good job.
We will definitely go out to help Habitat again in the near future!

I love to observe clouds in the sky.
I love the different shapes and shades of grey. I love that you can use your imagination and picture animals, people and other things in the sky.
I love how the clouds look right before a storm.

I love to have supportive friends.
I love to chat with friends that are willing to lend an ear and listen. I love when they encourage me to stay positive and that better things are coming.

I love to walk in the rain with my daughters.
I love to walk in the rain and I love my daughters. So why not walk in the rain with my daughters!
I was planning to walk our dog, Kronos, as it started raining, but he wasn’t interested. So two of my daughters and I went out.
It was a nice, cool, heavy rain. There was a little wind so at first it was slightly chilly since the raindrops were also cool.
We started walking on the sidewalk (barefoot, of course) and saw cars passing by. It was to think what they might be thinking. They probably thought we were crazy, but were then overtaken by a little rain envy. 🙂
My daughters acted silly as usual and we were splashing in puddles and kicking water at each other. It was so refreshing.
We should definitely do it more often.
I love to walk in the rain with my daughters!
I love seeing old pictures of me running with friends in races.
I love seeing pictures. I love seeing old pictures. I love seeing old pictures of friends. I love seeing pictures of friends running, especially in races.
I love the memories of past races. Remembering the joy of the race with friends. And the celebration once the race is done.
